Lincoln Police investigating homicide in north Lincoln

LPD says a 29-year-old man was killed near 27th and Vine Streets on Monday afternoon.

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) –Lincoln Police are investigating a homicide in Lincoln that happened Monday afternoon. LPD says a 29-year-old man died in the 2600 block of Vine Street just after 3 p.m.

Police say one person is in custody and there is no ongoing threat to the public. Investigators are still canvasing the scene to find evidence and develop a timeline for what lead up to the homicide.

The name of the man killed and the suspect has not yet been released.
