UPDATE: Two teens arrested for shooting pregnant woman in attempted robbery

Lincoln Police have arrested two teens in connection with shooting a pregnant woman last week.
Police say a 21-year-old female who was 28 weeks pregnant drove her 28-year-old boyfriend drove to Roper Park to sell marijauna to his 16-year-old cousin.
Officials say 17-year-old Damerio Silva struck the boyfriend in the face with a gun when he wouldn’t hand over the marijuana and a round was discharged striking the woman in the buttocks.
The 16-year-old was referred to the county attorney for conspiracy to commit robbery.
17-Year-old Silva was referred for attempted robbery, use of a firearm to commit a felony, and second degree assault of a pregnant woman. He will be in court on August 13.
Lincoln Police say a pregnant woman was shot in the Belmont neighborhood around 1 a.m. during an attempted armed robbery.
Police say the 21 year old female and a male passenger were sitting in a car when the suspect approached them.
The woman was shot in the leg and the man was hit in the face with the gun.
They transported themselves to the hospital, both with non-life threatening injuries.
Police say the baby is okay.
They are still searching for the suspect, and there is no current threat to the public.
