Vandalism Turns Deadly
It started out as simple vandalism, but bashing mailboxes turned deadly for a Lincoln man. Police say three men were driving around northeast Lincoln around midnight Saturday, smashing mailboxes with golf clubs.
Things went bad quickly when they noticed the back seat passenger, 21-year-old, Brian Brinker, had a two and a half inch hole in the right side of his head. He was rushed to Bryan LGH-East, where he later died.
Brinker's cousin, 23-year-old, Scott Philips was arrested for second degree assault.
