Victim of Lincoln’s double homicide came to the U.S. to flee violence in El Salvador

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — More than a week has passed since Ronald Gonzalez was killed in south Lincoln, but his family still cannot believe what happened.

His wife, Georgina Molina, said they came to the U.S. from El Salvador escaping from gangs and violence back home. But here, they found the unimaginable.

“The truth is that we ran away from there and never imagined that he would find death here,” Molina said.

Police said 27-year-old Taylor Bradley “purposely” ran over Gonzalez and Christopher Karmazin, killing them.

She said they moved to Lincoln because they were told it was a good place to raise their kid.

Molina said her husband was a hard worker; he had more than one job to help with family expenses.

“He had extra jobs like Uber and Lyft,” she said. “He was trying to work hard so he could later work less and enjoy time with family.”

The family has a GoFundMe for people who want to donate for funeral expenses.
