Vikings vs. Vikings: Waverly holds strong in win over Grand Island Northwest
LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – The Vikings won on Friday night. The Waverly Vikings, that is.
Waverly’s dominance continued in the second round of the playoffs as it stomped over the Grand Island Northwest Vikings.
Waverly won 30-7, despite a slow start.
Northwest tried responding in the second quarter with a 38-yard touchdown pass from Austin Payne to Tegan Lenkau.
But Northwest’s offense faltered in the second quarter and was shut out by a strong Vikings defense.
