Waverly Vikings pillage the Norris Titans in first round of playoffs

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – The Waverly Vikings are rowing to the second round of the playoffs after crushing the Norris Titans on Friday.

Waverly won 42-13 and will host Grand Island Northwest in the second round.

Vikings quarterback Trey Jackson made big plays, including a 50-yard pass to Landon Oekle, which set up a Waverly touchdown in the first quarter.

And on defense, Waverly’s Cooper Skrobecki answered on the other side of the ball with a pick-six against the Titans toward the end of the first quarter.

The last time these two squads played earlier in the season, the Vikings shut out the Titans 42-0.
