Village of Kenesaw under boil water advisory

KENESAW, Neb. (KLKN) — The Village of Kenesaw is under a boil water advisory due to a water main break that forced the system to lose pressure.

All residents are advised to boil water for a minimum of one minute for drinking and cooking needs.

Residents are also advised not to brush their teeth with un-boiled water. According to the Adams County Emergency Management, no bacteria has been found in the water after testing was conducted.

Drinking the water could cause potential adverse health effects.

Residents are advised to use an alternate source of water until the issue can be resolved.

The Village of Kenesaw is working with the Nebraska Department of Environment and Energy, Drinking Water Program, to restore service.
