LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – The Huskers will be going hard in the paint during Friday’s opening night event at Pinnacle Bank Arena, thanks to a performance from Waka Flocka Flame.

The esteemed New York rapper will now be performing at the event, a Nebraska Athletics spokesman said Wednesday.

Rapper Est Gee was originally scheduled to play but had to cancel his performance due to unforeseen circumstances.

Waka Flocka has several hits under his belt, including the single “No Hands,” which peaked at No. 13 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.

Nebraska’s opening night event will feature a scrimmage from the women’s basketball team and a 30-minute practice from the men’s team.
