Wanted criminal caught after getting locked inside a storage unit, Nebraska police say
LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — A wanted criminal was captured on Wednesday after getting locked inside a storage unit.
That’s according to The Grand Island Police Department, which says officers found Richard Brown trying to hide behind a mattress.
This happened near West Third and North Tilden Streets around 1:40 p.m.
Police said Brown was stuck inside the unit with Debra Meyers, and the two of them tried cutting their way through the metal door with a machete.
Meyers is then accused of trying to hide the fact that Brown was there when officers arrived becasue he had several active warrants for his arrest.
It didn’t work, and both of them were taken into custody.
