Wanted man arrested after stealing hotel breakfast in Grand Island, police say

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — A man was arrested in Grand Island early Saturday morning after he was caught stealing breakfast from a hotel.

Just before 7:30 a.m., officers with the Grand Island Police Department were sent to Boarder’s Inn and Suites near Locust Street and Husker Highway.

According to the police department, Rowdy Skinner walked into the hotel, ate at the breakfast buffet and left without paying.

Hotel staff said they confronted Skinner, but he ran off after being questioned. The hotel reported a $10 loss for the unpaid breakfast.

Officers later found Skinner and discovered that had an active arrest warrant out of Douglas County for possession of a controlled substance.

He was arrested on suspicion of theft and on the arrest warrant.
