Wanted man arrested at gunpoint after northeast Nebraska pursuit
LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — A man was arrested Tuesday morning after a chase in northeast Nebraska.
About 9:30 a.m., Stanton County Sheriff Mike Unger saw Kyle Kirstine driving a vehicle in Stanton.
Authorities said Kirstine, a 43-year-old from Norfolk, had several felony arrest warrants.
Unger tried to pull over Kirstine, but the Stanton County Sheriff’s Office said he kept going west on Highway 24.
The sheriff’s office then requested help from the Norfolk Police Division, which set up spikes at the intersection of Highways 24 and 275.

Kirstine ran a red light at that intersection, according to authorities, and his vehicle came to a stop.
Law enforcement drew their weapons and took him and his female passenger into custody.
Kirstine was arrested on the warrants and on suspicion of operating a motor vehicle to avoid arrest.
His passenger told authorities that she asked Kirstine to stop multiple times during the pursuit.
She was released.
