Warm couple of days, then it gets very cold
With the lack of snow on the ground, we can get some wild temperature swings across Nebraska and that will be evident over the next several days. We wrap up the week with a warm start to Thursday.
After starting the day in the middle 20s, we quickly warm up into the 40s.
The average high for mid January is in the middle 30s. We’ll be about 10 degrees above that.
We’ll do it again on Friday, but then the rug gets pulled out from underneath of us. Saturday will be much colder and it’s just the beginning.
Highs will be in the teens Sunday and Monday before slowly warming back up next week. Still no precipitation can be found in the forecast.
The lack of snow is note worthy, too. As of mid January, it’s the second least amount amount of snow we ever seen in this time frame.
