Warm through Friday, then cooler
Temperatures through the end of the week are going to be very summer-like. We’ll be 5 to 10 degrees above average each day. Mostly sunny to partly cloudy skies can be expected, until the weekend. That’s when clouds will increase, the chance for storms becomes likely, and temperatures take a tumble. After the rain chance Saturday into Sunday, we’ll see the sun come back and we slowly warm back up next week.
For Thursday, temperatures are going to be very warm. Highs will be in the lower and middle 90s, which is 10 degrees above average. There will be plenty of sunshine and a gusty south wind at 10 to 25 mph.
The dewpoint will be right around 60 degrees, so the humidity will be tolerable and the heat index will be very similar to the actual temperature.
Along with the hot temperatures and the sunny skies, you may notice a haze. There are many fires in the western portions of the US and some of that smoke is being carried along through the upper levels of the atmosphere. While it isn’t likely the smoke makes it to the surface, it will float through the upper levels. That will give us that hazy look for a few days.
