Warmer temperatures going in to the holiday weekend
We’ve got a several fantastic days ahead of us as we close out the work week and go in to the weekend. Skies will be mainly sunny through Sunday and temperatures will feel more like late May and early June than April.
As winds increase Friday, and the air remains relatively dry, those with plans to burn outdoors should reconsider. Conditions are not favorable for burning, especially near the Nebraska/Kansas state line.
The window for increased fire danger is between 10 a.m. and 7 p.m. Friday.
TONIGHT: Clear skies and not as cold. Winds will begin to increase, gusting to 25 mph. Lows will drop to the middle 30°s.
FRIDAY: Sunny, windy, and warm. Temperatures top out in the lower to middle 70°s. Winds will gust to 40 mph out of the south/southwest.
SATURDAY: Sunny and warm. Highs will be in the upper 70°s to near 80°.
SUNDAY (EASTER): Mainly and warm. Lincoln should have its first 80° day of the year. Highs will be in the lower 80°s.
