Warming back up, storm chances next week
We’re going to be cold for one more morning, then warmer temperatures are on the way. Storm chances increase as next week wears on.
The cold air will be in place once again Sunday, so Freeze Warnings are in place for the eastern half of the state. The entire state will see freezing temperatures, but the western half doesn’t have as much vegetation far enough along for a frost or freeze to be an issue. That will change in the coming weeks.
The area in the Freeze Warning will certainly be cold enough to warrant the warning. At or below 30 degrees is expected.
We warm up and should stay fairly mild after Sunday. Highs Sunday afternoon will be in the lower and middle 60s.
Most of the next three days will be dry, but there’s a chance for some storms Monday evening.
Weather models aren’t too impressed by the storm threat Monday evening, but a few of us may see some storms during this time frame.
