Warming up for Labor Day weekend
Another heat wave is headed our way, but this one won’t be near as bad as the last one. We’ll get into the triple digits a couple of times, but the humidity won’t be as high. We’ll cool off a little bit heading into next week after a few shower and thunderstorm chances.
The holiday weekend starts off in the lower 60s, which is pretty close to normal. We’ll warm up into the lower 90s by the afternoon.
The heat gets turned up a little for Friday with highs in the lower and middle 90s.
The dew point will be tolerable on Friday, so the heat index won’t be out of control.
While temperatures do get hot through the weekend, the dew point will remain in the 60s, so it won’t “feel” quite as hot as last time.
We did see some rain last week so the Drought Monitor is a little better, but not much. We do need more rain!
