WATCH: Storms roll through Lincoln area

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — Severe thunderstorms moved through the capital city on Monday.

At 6:35 p.m., a severe storm was located 11 miles southwest of Lincoln, according to the National Weather Service.

It was capable of producing 60 mph wind gusts and quarter-size hail, the weather service said.

Another storm was picked up on radar 3 miles south of Holmes Land and was moving east, the weather service said.

Throughout the storms, users of the NOW Local News App submitted videos of heavy hail and rain.

A video uploaded near Crete showed hail pounding the ground.

Hail fell in Lincoln, too. The largest seemed to be in south Lincoln, where multiple NOW App users took videos.

The rainfall was a downpour in much of Lincoln.

One person posted a video of water flowing down a street in the Bethany neighborhood.

And after the storm had passed and the sun began to set, the sky took on orange and pink hues that dazzled onlookers.
