It’s been 20 years since Solich was controversially fired after a 9-3 season in 2003.

Solich, who took over for head coach Tom Osborne, finished at Nebraska with a 58-19 record.  He also led the Huskers to the 2001 national championship game.

After Nebraska, Solich served as the head coach at Ohio for 16 seasons. There, he led the Bobcats to 11 bowl game appearances.
