WATCH: Geist and Gaylor Baird face off in Lincoln mayoral debate
LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – Lincoln voters got a chance to hear from both mayoral candidates on Sunday.
Channel 8 hosted a debate between Mayor Leirion Gaylor Baird and former State Sen. Suzanne Geist.

Gaylor Baird, a Democrat, is seeking her second term as mayor. She has touted investments in roads and public safety and has promised to make Lincoln “the best home for everyone.”
Geist, a Republican, has criticized Gaylor Baird’s record and said her experience in the Legislature has prepared her to lead the city.
The general election, which is officially nonpartisan, is on May 2.
