Waverly cruises to Class B quarterfinals with win over Northwest
LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — The No. 1-seeded Waverly football team cruised to the Class B quarterfinals on Friday, stomping Northwest 35-13 at Viking Stadium.
The Vikings scored early and often, getting two touchdowns from Nathan Axmann within the first six minutes of the first quarter.
Gavin McMillan also got in on the action for the Vikings, racking up a rushing and receiving touchdown in the first half.
The Vikings will face No. 8 Seward in the quarterfinals next Friday.
