Wildfires break out in western Nebraska

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — Officials are monitoring more wildfires in western Nebraska.
The Nebraska Department of Transportation said on Thursday that several wildfires forced officials to close roads in Grant County.
This is impacting Hwy 2 and Hwy 61 near the towns of Ashby, Hyannis and Arthur.
The Hyannis School District is offering its high school for anyone that needs to take shelter. There will be no classes on Thursday.
Red Flag warnings have been issued in the state.
This comes just a day after the historic Morrill and Road 203 fires were declared 100 percent contained.
