Windy tonight, colder Friday with less wind
The wind is going to continue to gust in the 30 to 50 mph range through this evening, then taper off overnight. See the video below for that timing.
Temperatures are going to come crashing down, too. By early Friday, single digits and teens will be widespread.
We’ll warm up on Friday, but not a lot. Highs will struggle to get to 30 by the afternoon in Lincoln.
20s and 30s for highs across much of Nebraska will be common on Friday. It’ll be warmer in the panhandle, though.
We continue to warm up as we get into to the weekend.
That warming trend last all the way into Christmas and beyond. Rain is possible after Christmas, as well.
