Winter headlines in place for snow potential tonight, Tuesday, and Wednesday
We have a decent chance at actually seeing some snowfall late Tuesday into Wednesday! Below is what I have for the snowfall potential Tuesday afternoon into Wednesday morning. It’ll be a light and fluffy snow, too.
Below is a video of what our StormCast weather model is saying for timing, duration, and location of the snow through Wednesday morning.
This is a 1-2 punch kind of storm, too. Below is a Winter Weather Advisory for the snow potential tonight (Monday). A few inches of snow is possible in northeast Nebraska through midnight.
As we get into Tuesday evening, Winter Storm Watches and Winter Storm Warnings are in place for the southern counties of Nebraska into Kansas.
It’s going to get cold, too. Temperatures early Tuesday morning will mainly be in the single digits and low teens.
Factor in a gusty north wind and the wind chill will have a bite to it.
Highs for Tuesday will struggle. Middle and upper teens to around 20 degrees will be common and with that gusty north wind, the wind chill will be in the single digits.
More cold and more chances for snow are in the 10 day forecast, too. Winter is here for a while!
