Winter weather continues into Tuesday
A vigorous winter storm system is churning its way across the Central Plains and it’s giving us a quick blast of winter.
After the storm moves out on Tuesday, we make our way back to spring-like temperatures!
Blizzard Warnings, Winter Storm Warnings, and Winter Weather Advisories are in place for the eastern half of Nebraska through 7:00am Tuesday.
Above is what StormCast is saying the radar will look like through early Tuesday morning.
A trace to around 4″ of more snow will be possible from around 6:00pm Monday through early Tuesday.
The wind will be gusting out of the north at 20 to 40 mph overnight into early Tuesday morning.
This will blow around a lot of the snow that is on the ground. Travel will be difficult.
Temperatures on Tuesday will start in the lower 20s and only make it into the middle 30s.
With that gusty north wind much of the day, the wind chill will be bitterly cold.
After the cold day on Tuesday, we rebound fairly quick. Highs will be near 50 on Wednesday and in the middle 60s Thursday.
