Wisconsin Men Officially Charged In Lincoln Woman’s Murder

Two Wisconsin men were officially charged Tuesday in the murder of Jennifer Hitchcock. With the charges comes some new information. According to police records, 37-year-old Maurice Mason told them he took Hitchcock from her family in Lincoln to Wisconsin in the trunk of a car. According to the records, Mason said he and 24-year-old Bernie Frier took Hitchcock to a wooded area, had sex with her and then Frier shot her in the head. Later, the two men called Wisconsin police, and led them to the area near Madison where Hitchcock was found shot in the head. Channel 8 Eyewitness News has also learned Maurice Mason has tried to contact Hitchcock's family.

Mason and Frier also face a robbery charge and charges in the murder of a Baraboo, Wisconsin cab driver. Funeral services for Jennifer Hitchcock will be this Thursday at the First Church of Christ in Exeter. The family has also set up a memorial fund to help with expenses.
