LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — A Lincoln woman accused of intentionally hitting and killing two men with her car will stand trial.

A Lancaster County judge ruled Friday that Taylor Bradley is mentally competent.

Judge Thomas Zimmerman cited a letter from a clinical psychologist as evidence that Bradley “does have the capacity to understand the nature and object of the proceedings against her.”

Bradley was arrested on March 27 after police say she ran over two maintenance workers at The Lodge apartments near 40th Street and Nebraska Parkway.

Ronald Gonzales-Ribas and Christopher Karmazin were pronounced dead at the scene.

Bradley was charged with two counts of first-degree murder.

In April, a judge found that Bradley was “not mentally competent” but said that could change in the “foreseeable future.”

Zimmerman set Bradley’s next court hearing for Sept. 26.
