Woman nearly robbed after Facebook Marketplace sale escalates to chase, gunfire in southeast Lincoln

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – A Lincoln woman was nearly robbed Sunday afternoon after trying to sell her AirPods on Facebook.
Just after 5 p.m., officers responded to the report of an attempted robbery in the parking lot of the Lodge Apartments, near 48th Street and Nebraska Parkway.
A 22-year-old Lincoln woman was contacted on Facebook asking to buy AirPods, with the two agreeing to meet in the parking lot of the apartment complex.
Police said the woman and three of her friends were in a Dodge Durango when a red SUV with two men inside pulled up behind them, blocking the Durango inside the parking stall.
According to LPD, the two men got out of the SUV and approached their vehicle, trying to open the door.
The Durango driver then pulled up onto the grass to exit the parking stall. LPD said the two men got back in the SUV and started chasing them.

The bullet hit the front driver fender, causing $1,500 in damage, according to LPD.
