14-year-old bicyclist injured after being hit by truck in south Lincoln, police say

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – A boy was struck by a truck Wednesday while biking in a southeast Lincoln neighborhood, police say.

The 14-year-old boy was hit by a truck near 56th Street and Elkcrest Drive after he rode past a stop sign.

Police said the boy “suffered a serious injury” and was taken to a local hospital.

Drugs and alcohol were not factors in the crash, and no citations have been issued, according to police.
