More than 150 people participated in a polar plunge Saturday morning, all for the Special Olympics Nebraska.
They partnered with the Lincoln Police Department to hold the event at Holmes Lake.

About 35 teams raised money by dressing up in costumes and taking a quick dip in the lake.
Leaders expect the event to bring in between $35,000 to $40,000.
All the money raised will support programs for individuals with intellectual disabilities.
