20-year-old Lincoln Driver Arrested for Fatal Crash

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – A 20-year-old man, Jaziah Brown of Lincoln, was arrested and cited for one count of a DUI causing serious bodily injury and two counts of manslaughter after investigation. The crash, occurring on May 25, resulted in the death of two people.

According to the Lancaster Sheriff’s Office, Brown was under the influence of marijuana at the time of the crash.

Brown was allegedly driving the Ford Focus heading southbound on Northwest 84th Street where he failed to stop at the intersection and struck a Nissan Kicks.

A passenger, later confirmed as 18-year-old Ali Alasady, was ejected from the Ford Focus and was taken to the hospital, where he died from the injuries sustained.

Five passengers were in the Nissan Kicks including Gay Wah of Lincoln who later died of her injuries sustained in the crash. Three passengers made up the attendance in the Ford Focus where Ali Alasady was.
