2010 Special Olympics National Games at closing ceremony

There was plenty of entertainment with singers and dancers.  At the end of the's ceremony, the Special Olympics flame was extinguished.

The enthusiasm was running high all night.  Athletes brought the welcoming, positive spirit they had throughout the entire week.  They say they've had a great week competing.

“it's pretty fun.  I'm sore as ever, but its pretty cool.  A lot of walking, sweating, getting water all over us, having fun.”

“It's a great time.  It's the first time I've done the special Olympics.  I've never done something like this.  Nebraska really did a great job.

Many athletes say beyond their accomplishments this week, they're proud to take home new friendships.
