$450,000 worth of meth found in traffic stop near Lincoln

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN-TV) — A California man was arrested west of Lincoln on Friday with 20 pounds of methamphetamine, the Lancaster County Sheriff’s Office says.

Authorities said the criminal interdiction task force pulled over a vehicle on Interstate 80 for following the car in front too closely.

They deployed a dog and found meth they say was bound for Omaha.  They put the value of the drugs at $450,000.

Jesus Sanchez Meza, 25, was arrested on suspicion of meth with intent to deliver.

The Sheriff’s Office said it’s been a long time since it seized that much meth.
