LEXINGTON, Neb. (KLKN) — A Grand Island man was arrested after Nebraska State Patrol (NSP) found 5 pounds of suspected cocaine.

NSP troopers performed a traffic stop on Interstate 80 around 11 a.m. on Friday, July 24.

Dairi Zuleta-Anzora, 23, was following a semi truck at an unsafe distance in a Mercedes sedan, causing troopers to stop him on I-80 near Elm Creek.

According to NSP, the trooper smelled odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle.

After a search, troopers found 5.6 pounds of cocaine, 21 grams of marijuana and $1,880 in cash.

Zuleta-Anzora was arrested for possession of cocaine, possession with intent to distribute, possession of money during a drug violation and no drug tax stamp. He was lodged at Dawson County Jail in Lexington.
