9-year-old seriously injured during boating accident in Cedar Creek
CEDAR CREEK, Neb. (KLKN) — Around 1:30 p.m. on Sept. 7, emergency personnel were dispatched near Sunset Drive in Cedar Creek for a reported boating accident.
Plattsmouth EMS, Cass County EMS, Cedar Creek Volunteer Fire Department, Nebraska Game and Parks and the Cass County Sheriff’s Office were all dispatched.
After the preliminary investigation it was indicated that a 9-year-old female was being pulled on a tube when the tube collided with a docked vessel.
The child sustained serious injuries. Emergency personnel immediately rendered aid and the child was airlifted to the University of Nebraska Medical Center for further treatment.
Current conditions of the child are not being released at this time.
