LLCHD report two more COVID-19 deaths

LLCHD reported the deaths of 2 men, one in his 70s and one in his 80s, both hospitalized and vaccinated.

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – The Lincoln-Lancaster County Health Department reported two more COVID-19 related deaths on Friday.

LLCHD reported the deaths of 2 men, one in his 70s and one in his 80s, both hospitalized and vaccinated. LLCHD reported ten COVID-19 related deaths between Monday, Jan. 3 through Friday, Jan. 7.

Local hospitals currently house 124 COVID-19 patients, 44 coming from other communities. A total of 21 patients are on ventilators.

LLCHD reported 307 lab-confirmed COVID-19 cases on Friday.

On Tuesday, Health Director Pat Lopez announced the COVID-19 Risk Dial moved to the red category. According to LLCHD, the red category indicates the risk of COVID-19 spread and impact in the community is severe.
