Vehicle, mobile home damaged in suspected arson
The vehicle fire caused by a suspected arson caused $1,000 of damage to a nearby mobile home.
LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – Lincoln Police are now investigating a fire that damaged a vehicle and mobile home in north Lincoln.
Around 8:30 p.m. on Monday, witnesses reported a black Ford Explorer was on fire in the 2500 block of Theresa Street.
Lincoln Fire and Rescue arrived and put out the fires that left a nearby mobile home with $1000 worth of damages. After an investigation, the fire inspector determined that someone intentionally set the fire.
The owner of the burned vehicle was not present at the time, officers then notified her of the damages. The owner reported having $8000 worth of personal belongings in the vehicle. LPD estimates the value of the vehicle at $3,000.
