Woman, toddler found on Omaha apartment floor with cuts

OMAHA, Neb. (AP) – Police say a woman and toddler were found in pools of blood in an Omaha apartment after both were cut, and a man who jumped from the apartment’s third-story window was later arrested.

The incident happened early Thursday afternoon, when officers were sent to the apartment.

Witnesses say police had to break a chain latch to get into the apartment.

Once inside, they found the woman and toddler on the floor bleeding from cuts.

Witnesses say the man who jumped out of the apartment window was arrested in a wooded area near the apartment complex.

The names and medical conditions of those involved have not been released.
