Lincoln crews fighting a house fire in sub-zero temps
This is the second straight morning they've battled a blaze in dangerous conditions
UPDATE 9:40 a.m. — The house fire is now completely under control.
Officials on scene tell Channel 8 no one was injured in any of this, despite the many challenges they’re up against in these conditions.
LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — Lincoln Fire Rescue is battling a blaze in sub-zero temps this morning.
A caller first reported they evacuated a home at 1644 West Q Street around 8:42 a.m.
At the time the temperature was minus 1 degree.
The first crews to arrive confirmed seeing heavy smoke coming from the property and quickly got to work.
At least a dozen units have been called out to help with this.
Right now it appears that everyone got out okay, including a pet cat.
