Wrapping up February with warm temps today 2/28/2022

Monday Morning Weather Update February 28, 2022

Temperatures are off to a cold start this Monday morning in the 20s with wind chill values in the teens and partly cloudy skies. The cold and the clouds won’t stick around for long though! Clouds clear out by the afternoon and temperatures quickly warm into the mid to upper 60s for the last day of February. We remain mild for overnight lows tonight with most of the area bottoming out in the low 30s with quiet conditions and a wind shift back out of the south. This southerly wind shift will boost temperatures well above average for the first few days of March! It will feel like spring through Wednesday with highs in the mid-70s and sunny skies. We briefly cool back to the 50s on Thursday, but temperatures warm into the 60s for your Friday. Precipitation chances also increase Friday into Saturday with the chance for a few rain showers and snow in northern Nebraska. An unsettled weather pattern looks likely for early next week, which means we could see more much needed precipitation.
