Melting snow later today after slick morning commute 3/7/2022
Overnight snowfall is currently resulting in slushy roads across the area as sunny skies and warming temperatures start the melting process. Here’s a look at the current road conditions map.
Snowfall totals were around a trace up to 3″ in parts of the area, so amounts will vary depending on where you live.
Highs will struggle to reach the upper 30s and low 40s today, but widespread sunshine will help melt away the snow that fell overnight.
This snow melt during the day will freeze overnight tonight as temperatures fall below freezing and into the upper teens. Tomorrow will likely be the warmest day of the work week with highs in the low 50s and mostly sunny skies. Temperatures tumble for the rest of the week down into the 20s with another decent shot at accumulating snow mid-week. More details on our next chance for snow to come in the next couple of days.
