SHERIFF: 1 adult, 4 children suffer serious injuries in train vs. car crash

Authorities say five people suffered “serious” injuries after the vehicle they were in ran into a train Tuesday.
Butler County Sheriff Tom Dion said deputies responded around 7 a.m. to the crash on Highway 92 near mile marker 420.
The adult driver of the vehicle and four children were injured. Three of the occupants are related, Dion said.
All five occupants were originally taken to the Butler County Health Care Center, and three were later transported to Bryan West.
Initial investigation shows the vehicle was traveling westbound when it ran into the northbound train. The crash is still under investigation.
