Fantastic weather for the second half of the weekend
A disturbance passed to our north on Saturday, and that was able to bring a few more clouds our way. These clouds were able to travel farther south than initially anticipated, so Lincoln was able to see more clouds. There was still plenty of sunshine, but the sky took on more of a filtered sunshine appearance.
Any clouds depart overnight and into Sunday morning. Overnight lows will be significantly warmer than Saturday’s low temperature of 5°. We’re looking for lows in the upper-20s in Lincoln, which is near normal for mid-March.
Daylight Saving Time also begins on Sunday, so be sure to set your clocks forward by one hour before going to bed on Saturday night. This is also a great time to check the smoke and carbon monoxide detector batteries.
The sky should be cloud-free on Sunday, and high temperatures will not resemble the colder weather experienced in recent days. Highs should top out in the middle-60s in Lincoln.
Clouds begin to approach on Sunday evening and arrive overnight and into Monday morning. We should be waking up to mostly cloudy skies on Monday morning, with a good chunk of the day remaining cloudy. This, in part, will cool temperatures on Monday afternoon back into the 50s. We do expect some degree of clearing starting Monday afternoon/evening.
Temperatures will climb back into the 60s on Tuesday and near 70° on Wednesday. However, another disturbance approaches on Wednesday. This could bring a few spotty showers on Thursday. That said, the best chance for rain is to our south, and I still think there’s a chance the system misses us to our south.
