NSP Troopers arrest homicide suspect from Wisconsin on I-80
GRAND ISLAND, Neb. (KLKN) — Nebraska State Patrol (NSP) troopers arrested a man near Grand Island. The man was wanted in connected with an attempted homicide in Wisconsin.
Yesterday morning, it was reported to NSP that the suspect was traveling through Nebraska on Interstate 80 in a Chevrolet Malibu.
Around 11:45 a.m., a trooper performed a traffic stop on the suspect at mile marker 304. After confirming the driver was the suspect wanted from Wisconsin, he was arrested.
Joseph Niemiec, 18, of Pleasant Prairie, Wisconsin, was lodged at Hall County Jail. According to NSP, extradition proceedings are pending.
