Arrest made in Council Bluffs stabbing

An arrest has been made in connection with a stabbing in Council Bluffs, Iowa.

The stabbing took place on Thursday, around midnight.

Police say an altercation happened between 41-year-old Jerome Daniels and 24-year-old Alex Fichter.

Investigators say Daniels stabbed Fichter twice in the chest, during the altercation.

Authorities arrested Daniels, and he’s been booked on one count of attempted murder.

Fichter remains in the hospital at the Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha.

This is an ongoing investigation.
