Crews responding to barn fire near Firth

The cause of the fire is currently unknown.

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – UPDATE: Firth Road from 68th to 82nd Streets is now reopened after crews battled a barn fire in the area.

A barn and a corn crib were involved in the structure fire, according to officials.  They say that both structures were destroyed.

The cause of the fire is still unknown.

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – Local fire and rescue crews are now responding to a barn fire near Firth.

Fire crews from Hickman and Firth were called to the scene of a structure fire around 3:14 p.m. on Monday.

Scrap and other miscellaneous objects were inside of the barn at the time of the fire, according to officials at the scene.  There are no known injuries at this time.

The intersection of 68th Street and Firth Road is currently closed as crews fight the blaze.  Firth Road is also closed from 68th to 82nd Streets.

The cause of the fire is currently unknown.
