UPDATE: Lincoln man, Adams woman injured in head-on crash on Hwy 2

Authorities on Wednesday said a Lincoln man was one of two people taken to the hospital after a head-on crash near 120th and Highway 2 Tuesday night. 

The Lancaster County Sheriff’s Office said 39-year-old Jonathan Merboth suffered fractures and may need surgery.

LSO identified the other driver as 45-ear-old Deborah Hesterman, of Adams. Hesterman suffered critical injuries and was taken to emergency surgery at Bryan West. 

Officials said a pick-up and Jeep collided just before 8:30 p.m., with the Jeep rolling multiple times. 

Authorities are still working to determine what exactly caused the accident.
