Dry weather prevailing on Monday
The sky took on a different appearance for the second half of the weekend. Sunday brought forth more clouds and even some rain for some. Despite the increased cloud cover, temperatures made it into the 60s in most locations.
By Sunday evening, I anticipate that many locations will begin to see some partial clearing. We are keeping clouds in the forecast overnight Sunday, but they will not be as widespread nor as thick as they were on Sunday afternoon. Lows should be in the low-30s on Monday morning.
Monday features a mix of sun and clouds. An upper-level disturbance will be positioned not too far to our south. This may send cloud cover towards southern Nebraska. Farther north, we’ll see more sunshine. Temperatures will be near normal, in the lower-60s.
The weather pattern turns more unsettled starting Tuesday. Rain showers are possible, but I want to emphasize that this will not be a widespread nor an all-day rain event. These will be spotty showers moving through.
It’s looking like Wednesday will be mostly dry, with any showers mainly north of the capital city. In fact, we may even see the sun poke out early Wednesday.
There’s a chance to see more isolated showers on Thursday as the upper-level disturbance affecting our mid-week weather departs. This sets us up for a dry and very warm weekend.
