LPD: Woman with stolen car out of Oregon arrested in Lincoln

Authorities arrested a woman Saturday on theft and drug charges, after finding her with a reportedly stolen car.
Lincoln police officers received a tip that the woman, identified as 43-year-old Laura D. Edwards, would be at a parking lot in the 4200 block of South 27th street in a stolen vehicle.
Officers found Edwards inside the vehicle – a Mercedes Benz GL350 valued at $15,000 – along with key fobs bearing dealership tags, a suspected Ritalin pill and a glass smoking pipe.
Police said Edwards provided a false name and false identification card, but was identified using a mobile automated fingerprint identification system. Officers also verified that the vehicle had been reported stolen out of Oregon.
