A Lincoln woman was convicted of false reporting information in the 2014 murder of Jarvis Long at Peter Pan Park.
27-year-old Jacara Perry pled no contest and was sentenced to one year in jail for knowingly giving false information to police during the investigation. Prosecutors say she meant to impede the Jarvis Long case.
She must serve a minimum of 190 days behind bars, which is canceled out by her time already served.
Perry was also sentenced 10-12 months for possession of a controlled substance in an unrelated case.
She must serve five months minus 85 days of time served before she is eligible for parole, making her eligible in just more than two months.
