Lincoln teen the target of attempted kidnapping, second reported this week

Lincoln police is on the look out for two men accused of attempting to kidnap a teenager.

The victim says it happened Wednesday night at around 11:45 pm.

She called police Thursday morning to report the crime.

Officers contacted an 18-year-old female victim, who said she was walking near 61st and Adams street when a vehicle approached her.

The victim believed the vehicle was occupied by two males.

She heard the driver tell the passenger to get out and “get her,” upon which the front passenger exited the vehicle.

When the victim saw this, she ran away.

Officers processed the scene for forensic evidence, searched for surveillance videos from nearby residences and businesses, conducted a neighbor canvass, and interviewed nearby residents.

This is the second reporting kidnapping attempt this week.

The initial investigation suggests that this incident is NOT related to any similar incidents.

Investigators continue to follow-up on this incident.
